Elizabeth secures Academic Scholarship to Dauntsey’s

St Francis pupil, Elizabeth has a lot to smile about having been awarded a prestigious Academic Scholarship to renowned Dauntsey’s School.

Elizabeth, who is currently in Year 6 at the Pewsey-based Prep School was awarded the Scholarship after impressing examiners with her performance in the entrance papers for Dauntsey’s School.

Virginia Neal, Academic Deputy Head at St Francis School explained “Elizabeth’s achievements in the Dauntsey’s entrance assessments are not to be undervalued; it’s a phenomenal accomplishment. Elizabeth is a very hard-working pupil who shows an incredibly aptitude for English, and we are delighted that this has been recognised by Dauntsey’s.”

Elizabeth, whose older sister Rose is already a pupil at Dauntsey’s added “I’m so excited to even just get in to Dauntsey’s I can’t tell you; I’ve heard so many things about how wonderful it is I’m incredibly relieved I passed my entrance papers. I’m really surprised I was awarded an Academic Scholarship, as I was quite worried about the entrance assessments, but I’m really proud of myself too!”

David Lee, who took over the running of St Francis in January, following the retirement of the previous Head David Sibson enthused “We are so proud of all of our pupils who have been awarded places at their chosen Senior Schools, and especially those who have been selected for scholarships. The staff at St Francis are all delighted for Elizabeth, who has been rewarded for the hard work she has put in to preparing for the Dauntsey’s examinations. Well done Elizabeth!”

St Francis will be holding an Open Morning on Friday 11th March between 10-12pm, please contact admissions@stfpewsey.co.uk if you are interested in attending this event, or finding out more about the School.
