Last Choir Standing Competition

Congratulations to Year 7, who recently won the Outstanding Choir Shield at St Francis Schools ‘Last Choir Standing’ competition with their beautiful rendition of ‘How can a Moment Last Forever?’ from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

St Francis pupils from Reception right up to Year 8 all competed in the choral competition, a hugely popular event in the St Francis calendar, this year based on ‘Disney’. The audience were treated to a selection of musical numbers from some of Disney’s most famous films, from classics like Cinderella to more recent releases such as Moana and Aladdin.

The competition organised by Mrs Francis, Director of Music at St Francis and was judged by Mr George Bevan, Director of Music from Monkton Combe School.

Mrs Francis said ‘I would like to thank everyone for making the afternoon such an enjoyable musical event, but particularly the children who have been a real joy to work with and who have worked so hard on their performances’.
