Class Teacher (Lower Key Stage 2)

Required for September 2021 to July 2022 (Fixed Term Contract)

We are looking for a motivated, passionate and inspirational teacher to take responsibility for one of our junior prep classes, teaching a range of subjects across the curriculum.

An ability to teach Maths and/or IT to older year groups would be an advantage.

​This is a full-time position, on a fixed-term contract. The salary range for this role is £24.5k to £27k.

Head of Learning Support (SENDco)

Required for September 2021 (or as soon afterwards as possible)

Permanent, Part time (0.6) role

We are looking for a motivated, passionate and inspirational practitioner to take responsibility for leading and coordinating the SEN provision across the School.

This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced teacher, who can match teaching to the needs of the individual child and can ensure that every child reaches their potential. The successful candidate will possess highly effective communication skills and will be able to work collaboratively with a range of parents, pupils and colleagues, dealing sensitively with people and resolving problems successfully. The role requires commitment to develop the individual talents and to meet the individual needs of each child, as well as working together with and supporting teaching colleagues to ensure that, through teamwork, all pupils are supported academically, socially and emotionally.

The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of equal opportunities, safeguarding and SEN legislation. He/She will hold at least a Level 5 (or equivalent) Diploma in Teaching Learners with Dyslexia, Specific Learning Differences and Barriers to Literacy.

This is a permanent, part-time (0.6) position, ideally working on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (although this is negotiable).

Marketing & Admissions Manager

Required June/July 2021

35 hours per week, 42 weeks per year

St Francis School (incorporating Little Saints Nursery) is seeking to appoint a creative and pro-active Marketing & Admissions Manager whose main focus is to attract new enquiries from prospective parents for the School & Nursery, by promoting the exceptional education and care on offer.

The successful applicant will lead on all aspects of the promoting and advertising of St Francis School. With digital advertising, video marketing and social media engagement core to the work of this role, the post-holder will take an active role in creating, monitoring and reporting on a wide range of digital promotional activities for the school. He/she will manage the Admissions process, liaising closely with the Headmaster’s PA & Admissions Administrator (regarding admissions to the School) and the Nursery Administrator (regarding admissions to the Nursery).

HR Officer

Required June/July 2021

Part time role – 15 hours per week over 3 days, 42 weeks per year

St Francis School is seeking to appoint an HR Officer to be responsible for providing an efficient, effective and responsive HR service to the School (which incorporates Little Saints Nursery). This newly created role will be responsible for providing proactive advice and guidance to the School’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) on the application and interpretation of employment legislation, employment policies and procedures and the provision of a comprehensive HR service. The School seeks to appoint a CIPD qualified HR generalist (ideally with experience of working in a school environment) with well-developed communication, organisational and relationship building skills who is able to act with integrity and empathy.

 GAP Students (3 positions available) –  Fixed Term Contract

Required September 2021 to July/August 2022

Temporary, full time role – 40 hours a week

An exciting opportunity is available for  motivated and talented individuals to join our happy school community for the school year on our 17 acre site as a GAP Student. 

This key role requires a strong ability to work as part of a team and to participate fully in all aspects of our family, friendly school. We are looking for someone with sporting experience and a creative mind to help coach games as well as support the school community with a wide variety of duties working with children from Nursery to Year 8. If you are looking to become a teacher in the future or are simply looking for a busy and rewarding way to spend your time (coaching games, classroom work and activities), then this would also be a perfect way to gain valuable paid work experience.
