French Teacher

(Part Time 0.6)

Required from September 2024

We have a fantastic opportunity for a teacher of French within our happy school where pupil and staff wellbeing is at the heart of what we do. Working at St Francis allows passionate teachers time and space to really focus upon their teaching and their pupils, all within a supportive environment.

This role will suit candidates who are able to teach French as a specialist language while the ability to teach Spanish and/or Latin would also be desirable but not essential.  There is the potential of a subject leadership allowance and additional teaching responsibilities, if desired, for a suitable candidate.

Our pupils benefit from excellent facilities, outstanding pastoral care, a calm environment in which to learn and specialist teachers for subjects such as drama, music, languages, art & design and PE. We offer our pupils superb opportunities in which to thrive and achieve personalised success.

Our teachers benefit from small class sizes, excellent behaviour, enhanced non-contact time, lunch and other benefits, all while working within a supportive team.

Applications are welcomed from candidates new to the profession or with existing state, independent or international teaching experience. Working proactively, collaboratively and being prepared to participate fully in all aspects of school life are key to this role and all teaching staff are expected to be responsible for the wellbeing and safeguarding of all our children, as well as to contribute to our co-curricular programme.

This is currently a part-time position.

If you are interested in this role and would like to discuss it further then please contact Danita Peacock on: recruitment@stfpewsey.co.uk  to arrange a telephone call with our Deputy Head.

Full details of the role can be found here. All applications should be on the school application form and include contact details for two referees and full curriculum vitae, addressed to recruitment@stfpewsey.co.uk

The closing date for applications is by 17:00 on Thursday 14th March 2024.

Early applications are encouraged and will be considered in the order they are received. Interviews will take place on the 21st & 22nd March. The School reserves the right to make an appointment prior to the closing date should the ideal candidate be identified.
